Where is Mr. Allen? This is perhaps the question most often asked by many Paramus High School graduates. From 1959 through his retirement in 1985, Norman Allen touched the lives of thousands of students as head of the PHS Vocal Music Department and the conductor of the various PHS Choirs. With fond memories of those long gone days as a backdrop, a group of Norm's former students happened to find one another on the Internet in December of 2000. Before long, the idea of reunion came up, and just wouldn't go away. And so it is with great pleasure we announce plans for a Paramus High School Choir Alumni Reunion, to be held July 2002. This event will be a consolidated, multi-year reunion for anyone who sang under "Uncle Norm's" direction during his tenure at PHS. The Reunion Team is working on plans for a fun and entertaining weekend, so please view this as an opportunity to plan an extended trip to Orlando, FL. Reunion activities will allow plenty of time to get caught up with old friends, and of course, Mr. Allen, and will give us all the opportunity to sing under his direction once again.
